That Oaks Knives

I am a dedicated bladesmith specializing in handcrafted knives that balance performance with refined aesthetics. Since 2021, I have been forging high-quality hunting knives, chef’s knives, and collector pieces, each built with a focus on durability, precision, and timeless design.
My journey into bladesmithing is both self-driven and formally trained, shaped under the guidance of Kevin and Heather Harvey, as well as Neels van den Berg. This foundation allows me to approach each piece with a strong technical understanding while maintaining a distinct creative identity.
I have been a member of the American Bladesmith Society since 2021 and am currently preparing my submission set for the Knife Makers Guild of Southern Africa—an important step in my ongoing commitment to excellence and professional growth within the craft.
Working primarily with high carbon steels and Damascus, the majority of my knives are forged rather than stock removed. This process allows for greater control over the blade’s structure and performance, resulting in knives that are both visually striking and built for real-world use.
Every blade I create is a reflection of craftsmanship, function, and individuality—made to be used, trusted, and appreciated.
